Diane studied Craft Design at Plymouth College of Art and Design, specialising in ceramics. After working in a Plymouth based pottery for a few years, Diane moved back to her hometown of Bridlington. Working firstly in the family business and then her own she returned to painting.  

 

Her work is focussed around the ever-changing landscapes of the Yorkshire Coast and countryside. She is drawn to and inspired by the falling light, moods, patterns, textures and colours of the landscape. Working with a variety of tools and techniques using water-based media, she aims to capture the essence of the moment.
